John Cena made a surprise appearance on Saturday’s Money In The Bank event in Toronto, but his appearance wasn’t the only thing that surprised the fans. The 16 times WWE Champion announced his retirement after 20 years long career saying, “Tonight, I officially announce my retirement from WWE.”
“Boooos” and “Nooooos” filled the arena after this announcement from Cena. He showed his appreciation towards Canadian WWE fans thanking them for always showing up and supporting the industry. He mentioned that next years Wrestlemania, Wrestlemania 41, will be his final WWE appearance.
This actor turned wrestler began his acting career in 2006 with his role in The Marine and has since appeared in numerous high-profile films such as The Suicide Squad, Fast & Furious 9, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Since his acting career gained momentum in 2018, the star has performed part-time in WWE.
