Voice Kids France Winner Charlotte Deseigne Makes Parents Laurent and Caroline Proud with Her Rising Singing Career

Charlotte Deseigne’s victory in The Voice Kids 2025 is not just a personal achievement but a heartfelt celebration of the constant love and support from her parents, Laurent and Caroline. At just 15 years old, Charlotte’s incredible journey—marked by her passion for music and a determination to overcome life’s obstacles—has made her a beacon of hope and inspiration, not only to her family but to everyone who has followed her story.
Charlotte’s motto, “When you believe in your dreams and you fight, you can achieve great things,” has become a guiding principle in her life. The quote encapsulates her journey from a young cancer survivor to a rising star in the music world.
Born in Vitry-en-Artois, between Arras and Douai, Charlotte’s life took a significant turn when, at just 8 years old, she was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that affected the base of her skull and throat.
After enduring 15 months of chemotherapy and undergoing a major jaw reconstruction, Charlotte found solace and strength in her music. “Because I never feel as good as when I sing,” she has said, and music became both a source of healing and a way for her to express her emotions during one of the most challenging periods of her life.
Despite bearing the physical scars of her battle, including a deformed mouth that will require a future bone graft, Charlotte carries herself with unmatched stability “When people see me, I don’t want anyone to feel sorry for me. I’ll be a candidate like the others, coming with my voice, that’s all,” she stated, demonstrating her fierce determination to be seen as more than just a survivor.
Her journey to The Voice Kids stage wasn’t without its early signs of fate.
In April 2018, Charlotte, then 8 years old, attended a taping of the show, her cap concealing the effects of chemotherapy.
During a camera break, The Voice host Nikos Aliagas approached Charlotte and her family, sensing something unique in her. After learning of Charlotte’s passion for singing, Nikos gave her words of encouragement: “Fight, and you will see, one day I am sure you will stand on this stage!” Those words, etched in Charlotte’s memory, gave her the belief that one day, she would return to the stage, not as a spectator but as a contestant.
Charlotte Deseigne often credits her parents, Laurent and Caroline, and her elder brother for encouraging her to pursue a career in music from a very young age.
Her mother, Caroline Boittelle Deseigne, who works as Chef de secteur at Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU), has been a rock for Charlotte throughout her entire journey.
Caroline, who has also worked in various administrative and commercial roles, including Responsable administrative at Fly and Assistante Commerciale at Le Centurion, has always made it a priority to balance her successful career with being an attentive and supportive mother. She frequently shares her daughter’s milestones, demonstrating the deep bond they share.
Although Laurent, Charlotte’s father, has remained largely private, his support is no less significant.
Together, Laurent and Caroline have been a constant source of encouragement, cheering Charlotte on from the sidelines and ensuring she has the resources and emotional support needed to continue pursuing her dreams.
Charlotte’s older brother, Thibaut, also shares a close and affectionate relationship with her. Like any sibling, he sometimes finds Charlotte’s late-night vocal practices a bit annoying—”When it goes past midnight, it’s true that she annoys me,” he jokes—their bond is undeniable. Thibaut has been one of Charlotte’s most prominent supporters, even if he playfully complains about the noise.
Charlotte’s rise to fame is not just the story of a young girl with an incredible voice; it’s a family story.
The Deseignes have proven that, through love, support, and unwavering belief, anything is possible. In addition to her music, Charlotte remains committed to her community. She is an active member of the youth council in Vitry-en-Artois and she performs regularly at local events, including the Fête de la Musique and Christmas markets.
While Charlotte dreams of pursuing a music career, she also harbors an unselfish goal of becoming an anesthesiologist and help others in need. Her ability to balance these dreams speaks to her caring and compassionate nature.
